Thanks to website visitor, Joel Compton, we are
able to share these recent photos of the original
Masque with you. Click on each thumbnail to open a
large version.
Here's what Joel had to say about them:
"I was born in 1983. (These photos) were
definitely taken recently. I don't remember
the exact day, but it was a couple months
back (2005). I have an affinity for that
music and that place. It literally haunted
me, kept me up at nights. It sounds crazy
but, somehow I knew it was still there. So I
had to go, I don't know why, I just had to.
Sure enough, there it was. It is one of the
most beautiful things I have ever seen. All
the rooms are gone now, though. You and your
peers are some of the luckiest people in
history in my opinion. My head was spinning
just from the ruins!! As the saying goes "if
these walls could talk..." Well those walls
do! I don't know anyone who's ever heard of
the Masque so I thought I would share them
with someone (who) I knew would appreciate
them."
